St. Louis. I dragged my V2 roller skis to a conference in St. Louis late in the fall of '99.Stayed at a hotel across from the Arch. Found an incredible place to ski along the river just behind the arch.There is an old industrial area that has kind of been redevloped into a waterfront park of sorts- river boats are moored along its shores-which is great in and of itself (if you don't mind a three mile back and forth route), however, the real gem (which it took me a couple of days to find) is a bike path off that river road that is brand new and it goes for fourteen miles along the river! I was blown away when I found it. The scenery is definitely post-industrial depressing but the trail itself is completeley unoccupied (!!!) and perfect for roller skiing. What a diamond in the rough. Got the feeling it was a community development program that had never been properly advertised. Use it or loose it. From Kai in Burlington, VT.
